Since 1997, ACAY gives a second chance to youth in difficulty of 15 to 23 years, in the Philippines and in France. The creative educational approaches are used to all these young people to rediscover their dignity and sense of their lives, but also to become agents of change for the company. Four programs are born in the Philippines.
• The School of Life is a place of welcome, education and empowerment, which recreates a family environment for young girls who are victims of abandonment, abuse or neglect
• The program Second Chance reinserted into the society of young juvenile detainees, with a success rate of 90%
• The program for Families combines the parents of the young people, to support their reintegration, and supports to parenting
• The program Tacloban, after the typhoon Yolanda in 2013, helping to rebuild a moral and physical of the inhabitants of the village of Santa Cruz, and strengthens their capacity for self -
Building on the success of its action in the Philippines, and in a logic of reciprocity, ACAY has imported its experience and innovative teaching to be put at the service of the young French in difficulty. Has Marseille, france, since 2014, three programs have seen the light of day :
• Prevention : Engaging young people in difficulty, through training in self-knowledge, and actions in the service of others in the school
• Rehabilitation : Interventions in penitentiary establishments for minors in Marseille and its region, through training socio-educational conferences-evidence and individual support, in partnership with the families, the Prison Administration and the Judicial Protection of Youth
• Rehabilitation (pilot project) : Support of young people after detention, in partnership with the educational services of the open environment
