Skin, association law 1901 founded in 2012 by Cécile Reboul, supports women affected by breast cancer in the period of the "after-cancer" through art and sport.
Skin form of pairs, each associating a patient to an artist or a sportsman : together, they produce artistic performances and/or sports.
This need, real, support to women affected by breast cancer is highlighted by the Observatory societal cancer : while 3/4 of the patients the disease is one of the events the most important of their life, for 2 patients on 3, the most difficult phase of this test remains the "after" - this post-care left too frequently in the dark, in the invisible ... Now, the scars on the plan, intimate, family, economic, social and professional can last up to 25 years after the end of treatment !
(Re)discover, plan and rebuild the middle-of-the-art and sport : such are the missions of the Skin. Join Skin, it is her success in healing mental and emotional, with a real care support.
After the creation, dissemination : Skin, restores the performance of its pairs in the form of exhibitions, plays, skits, concerts, choreography ... The photos and videos of these performances are then spread in the hospital service in France, Belgium and Quebec. Communicate well with patients in phase of treatment is fundamental. This is reassuring and demonstrates that there are solutions, a life after, that they are not alone. The benefits are immense. They, in turn, can join the association.
Concretely, restore energy, beauty and light art for a healing, sustainable, and more fulfilling, such is the ambition of the Skin.
His second ambition ? Raise the awareness of loved ones, health professionals, enterprises, society as a whole to address the issues after cancer.
