Marauding, collecting, raising awareness in schools ... La Rue Tourne wishes to make all generations aware of the danger of exclusion, discrimination and loneliness. As the name suggests La Rue Tourne wants to portray the reality of the field, the one that we can pass from success to failure but the opposite is also possible.

The marauding pole: LRT organizes marauding twice a month. We criss-cross several sectors, depending on the number of volunteers (Gare de Lyon, République, Châtelet Les Halles, Gare du Nord and Est etc.)

In our backpack: our good-humor and a lot of love to distribute in shambles in the streets, for the people in the precariousness that we meet.

Our accessories: coffee thermos or chocolate-hot house, card games, instant cameras, fruits, homemade sandwiches ... we are ready to go to exchange with many isolated people and spend a friendly moment in our streets.

The sensitization center in schools: Through our awareness-raising activities in schools, we want to alert all generations to the danger of exclusion, discrimination and loneliness. We allow students to discuss this subject in a fun way, by integrating a message of prevention during one of their courses in collaboration with the professor concerned.

Raising awareness in schools means for us, not only to communicate our actions on the ground but also to share our motivations to act and to establish a dialogue with children on the notions of solidarity and precariousness.

Rue Tourne proposes, through two two-hour interventions within a class [to be adapted according to the level of the class and what the teacher wishes], to exchange with the children about the difficulties encountered in homelessness, prejudices against them, and the importance of community involvement. We then make portraits to read and see on our website www.laruetourne.org and we relay them through social networks (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to raise awareness.
