Founded in 2002 in Saint-Denis, Proxité is an association dedicated to the success of the youth and the reinforcement of the social link.
Proxité is in priority neighbourhoods the policy of the city that welcome young people cumulating of social problems major : significant proportion of single parent families and/or very low-income, many of the outputs of the school system without a diploma... These young people are faced with isolation that often exacerbates their difficulties in learning, education and / or employability, increase their sense of failure and reduce their horizon. At the opposite, the volunteer of the assets is in development and there is a dynamic movement of social engagement and local businesses.
Based on this observation, Proxité develops sponsorships among young people aged 11 to 30 years of age, and professionals, to assist them in their education, professional orientation and integration.
The sponsorship is a custom, regular and long-term (with a commitment on one year, renewable) and facilitates the passages from school to professional life.
In 2017, Proxité accompanied 941 young people in the Ile-de-France, in Occitania, in the Hauts-de-France and Brittany.
Your support will give us the opportunity to launch projects in new areas of priority, in order to provide more young people with sponsorship of a high quality and well framed.
