From its inception in 1969, the association lays down the principles on which it is based :
Welcome, in the principles of secularism, young women isolated from 18 to 25 years, in a regular situation on the French territory, and among the young workers, the poorest of them.

To do this, it is arranged with the employee-e-s are capable of providing follow-up missions to social and collective actions.

The economic crisis results in the impoverishment of young unqualified women, and in 1996, the association develops a program of home emergency for a dozen of residents supported through the DASS (direction des affaires sanitaires et sociales) in the framework of its programme of fight against poverty and precariousness.

This experience continues until the year 2000, when the association decides to host 40 young women in the framework of this program, funded by the DASS.

At the end of 2009, the association closes its business FJT and becomes exclusively a CHRS (shelter and Social Reintegration), devoted to the reception of the young women between 18 and 25 years old, victims of gender-based violence and sex, without children with them.

To date, the FIT manages a CHRS that can accommodate 60 young women, or a hundred
resident per year (91 in 2017 to 108 in 2016 and already 73 from January to June 2018).
All residents have in common to have between 18 and 25 years, living without children
with them, and be victims of gender-based violence and/or sexual. They are geared to FIT in 42% of the cases by the social services, 32% of the cases by the SIAO and in 19% of cases by associations the rights of women (figures for 2017).

5 educators and expertise on violence against women, follow each fifteen resident on the access to employment, to housing, to the health and culture. The accompaniment of the resident is thus global.
